Ohio's work force had better take it easy on the job for a while, seeing as how the Bureau of Worker's Compensation seems to have lost somewhere in the neighborhood of $10 to $12 million from its "rare coin investment fund" (full story here and more here).

Small wonder that even the conservative CATO Institute ranks Taft among the lowest of the low when it comes to fiscal accountability.

Looks like Ohio needs to get creative with an initiative to decrease workplace accidents until the BWC coffers are full again. My vote is to institute a three-day work week. How about it?

Not bad, not bad.

But a 3-day working week WITH full 5-day working week pay, that sounds much better doesn't it?

With free transportation to and from work and a paid qualified nanny for those with kids, on their working days.

People are not hard to please.

I usually find pennies under the couch pillows (that's all i can lose without having to sleep in the street). Perhaps they have pretty big counches over at the BWC? Just trying to help find the lost money. A penny here, a penny there...

As for the work hours, I was hoping for something that resembles the old IWW campaigns for a shorter work week. There's great stuff about it here.

You mean wait until the republicans screw social security...

and as far as BWC, somebody probably had a back injury and just didn't lift the box and put it on the right shelf....
