I think what galls me the most is the implicit (or then again, maybe it's explicit) "classism" in Stossel's argument. That is, if I am indeed the person with the dehydrated baby and I don't have the $20 on me, but some well-to-do chap who is in perfect health does have the scratch to pay, then my baby and I am S.O.L. Is the gouger still the hero of the day when it's nothing but his greed that determines who lives and who dies?
