Superior intellect? Hardly.
I'm still lost for words about this. Perhaps it could be termed as "economological cretinism". Mind you that a lot of these subsidies go to farmers, who won't be happy at all about the article's last paragraph. But i doubt that anything will come out of it. The EU ministers will have a laugh at our collective expense, then fine our collective ass (since it's the people collectively who foot the bill for government deficits, waste, mismanagement and outright theft).
The Greek Conservatives are no stranger to cretinism of all kinds and colossal cock-ups. Too many to detail here. I'm sure you all remember how Greece almost didn't make it to the Olympics. Then they found out that they had no plan to milk (financially) the infrastructure they build after the Olympics. The sheer amount of of government waste and mismanagement in money terms per year in Greece must amount to 25% of the GDP. But why should these ass-clowns care? It's not like it's coming out of THEIR pockets, is it?
